Wish collection preview: Mistaken for strangers

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending another Wish collection preview, this time held at Fashion Lounge in the CBD. I encountered Stacy as I arrived to the venue, then we ventured on inside to be greeted by the lovely Madeline and Rosemary from the Wish team.

The collection was full of vibrant colours and prints that were absolutely stunning. My favourite pieces that stood out were definitely the Audacious Top in nude or magenta, and the Wayfarer Kimono.

We got to meet a lot of new faces from the Wish team as well as catch up with the blogger bunch like Anastasia, Twee, Sophie, Stacy, Esther and Rahel. I even got a birthday present from the gorgeous sisters Esther and Rachel which was a Paris themed fragrance reed diffuser and a gorgeous framed illustration by my new favourite illustrator Esther.

We also got to meet the beautiful model/DJ Christine, aka miss nine, who was really nice and took the time to take lots of photos with us. Wished I could've stayed longer to see her perform as well!

How to style ankle boots this winter

I always get excited when I see one of my blog posts for the What should I wear website's blog section.
For this month's "Style Secrets" post, I wrote about the different ways to style your ankle boots and where you can purchase them if you are on the hunt for one.
And of course a picture speaks a thousand words so I decided to show a lot of outfits, most of which you've seen on the blog here, to demonstrate what I was talking about.

So check out my blog post on Delia's amazing website, and sign up or download the app if you haven't already!

Yello

Yesterday, I met up with a few of my favourite bloggers for Sunday lunch and decided to go with a bright colour to make me forget the fact that the weather has been so gloomy and miserable lately. If I could be bothered to wear heels I would have obviously not gone with those shoes, they didn't turn out that great in these photos but nothing beats my trusted Aldo flats.

I'm uploading an album of some of the photos we took, you can check them out to spot some of your favourite bloggers.

So my birthday is fast approaching and today is, in fact, my last day as a 21 year old. I'm all grown up now!

PS. the first two photos are taken by Twee from Ezzentric Topz

Dresses under $100

My mum always says the first thing that catches my eye when I walk into a store is usually a dress. Besides shoes, I think buying dresses is one of my obsessions. I just love that you can dress it up or down depending on what shoes and accessories you team it up with.

I thought I'd share some of my favourite dresses right now from Asos since I can't buy them all (Although that would be nice). Some of them are even down from $200+ so check them out.

1.     White tulip dress

3.     Chiffon dress

4.     Sequin dress

5.     Mint tulip dress

6.     Pink mini/maxi dress

9.     Yellow dress

Room Decor: What's on my shelves?

-->
When I started this blog, I had so many scattered interests that I wanted to blog about (hence the name seven autumn leaves). Even though I eventually narrowed it down to fashion and started a separate architecture blog, from time to time I like to shake things up a little and post about something different.

I’ve been meaning to get these shelves for ages and FINALLY got my dad to put them up when he was visiting a few months ago.
I love experimenting with décor, having pretty little things that make your room a bit more you.

I mainly got these shelves to display some of my favourite things, as you can see shoes, jewellery and magazines are high on my list!

I bought these two Alexander Mcqueen postcards when I visited the Savage Beauty exhibition at the MET last year (along with a calender and a sketchbook; yups I went a little crazy since he was one of my favourite designers)

Two-toned

This is one of my favourite new winter pieces in my closet right now and I love the quirky juxtaposition of a print and solid brown. Although I only bought it from Asos a few weeks ago, it sort of looks like a vintage piece; it reminds me of the jackets my grandpa used to wear.

Coat: Asos / Top: H&M / Skirt: H&M / Boots: Lazamani / Bag: Mango / Ring: one of my designs.

Chambray chic

A few months ago at a sass & bide sale, I came across this chambray number and decided to buy it with no hesitation. The detailing in the back and the sleeves is what sold it really; it was just so different then any other chambray blouse I've seen before.

Blouse: Sass & Bide / Top: H&M / Pants: Zara / Shoes: Zomp / Bag: Witchery / Necklace: Lovisa / Bracelet: Bardot.

DIY feather skirt

For the trapped in a zoo event last week, I decided to integrate the theme in one of the existing clothes in my closet instead of buying something new. I ordered a DIY feather wrap from e-bay, hand stitched it to an old skirt that I hadn't been wearing for months and voila!

By adding the feather to the bottom, it became longer and more comfortable to wear. This is how I styled the feather skirt on the event.
Coat: Forever new / Skirt: DIY feather skirt from forever new and e-bay / Top: H&M / Clutch: Zara /
Shoes: RMK  / Necklace: Seven Autumn Leaves
