Gardens by the bay

Hello from Singapore! I'm having a blast discovering this city and all it has to offer from attractions to food and shopping. My very first day here, I went across to the gardens by the bay to check out the the park and the big tree structures that I could see from my hotel room balcony. I also wanted to take my new Marni pair, which I bought from Dubai a few weeks ago, out for a walk. I only have 2 days left of my trip so I'm hoping I'll make the most of it!

Dubai video travel diary

It definitely is true that time passes by quickly when you're on holidays, and my 6 week stay in Dubai has come to a close end. I leave the city I grew up in back to where I call home now, but not before I stop over at Singapore for a few days! I always pass by Singapore on my way back to Australia but for the first time I'll get a chance to go outside and discover the city.

I put this video together from little snippets I took in my time here so I hope you enjoy it!

7AL update

Well there's no denying that I am a big fan of statement necklaces, which is no surprise when I tell you the Seven Autumn Leaves statement necklaces are my favourite out of the whole collection. I am working on the summer collection right now which will available soon and you'll be happy to know that I'll be introducing colour to them! So stay tuned as I will be revealing them soon followed by a giveaway.

Neon starlight

I try to not play favourites when it comes to my collection, but one of my favourite Seven Autumn Leaves pieces would definitely have to be the starlight necklace for it's bold lines yet simplistic elegance.
I chose to wear it with my neon dress, which I found at H&M the other day, and thought it would be quite striking against it.

Last week I went to Atlantis on the Palm for lunch with my family and after lunch I went outside to take a few shots in front of the fountain facing the pool.
As you may have seen in my shopping haul video, These H&M earrings were one of my favourite purchases and I've been loving the way they look with so many outfits and hairstyles.
These are one of my looks under budget because, as you can see, almost everything I'm wearing are from very affordable stores.

Since the annual Dubai Shopping Festival has started last week I haven't been able to stop myself from shopping up a storm. Oh, who am I kidding? I've been shopping ever since I got here. It's a sickness I tell ya.
My shop-a-holism aside, I've bought a few things that I really like but can't really wear right now because it doesn't get that cold in Dubai in winter and it's summer when I go back to oz so I wanted to share them with you.

Minty at Dubai Mall

I have to say, although cliched, Dubai Mall would have to be my favourite mall. Besides the tourist attractions like the aquarium and the water show outside, it carries any store, restaurant/cafe you can think of. When I went there with my cousin last week we couldn't help but join the tourists and take a few photos outside.

PS. Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it today or tomorrow! Armenian Christmas is today so I'm off to church then lunch with the fam.

Have a great day! x

Blogger picks: see want shop

Before leaving Melbourne, the last blogger I shot wearing 7AL for the 'blogger picks' series was the stunning Lisa from see want shop who chose to style the 20th century gladiator necklace. She was nice enough to stop by my house since I was busy packing to head to the airport next morning.
We shot some photos indoors and some outdoors and because they both turned out great I decided to share them both in two separate parts highlighting two different necklaces. So stay tuned next Thursday for part two!

Lisa wears the 20th century gladiator necklace as well as the matching 20th century gladiator ring and the framed triangle ring.

Also like the official Seven Autumn Leaves FB page which is different to that of the blog.

New years eve outfit

Hope everyone had a fantastic night welcoming the new year with your loved ones. My family and I have been going to these Armenian new years eve parties in Dubai for the last few years and although I don't like predictability and I'm a big fan of change (in small doses) it's nice to spend the last few minutes of the year surrounded by my family and family friends whom I have known pretty much since I was born. I took a few quick shots to share what I wore and since there were lots of people around and so much dancing and eating going on that these were the best photos I could take so excuse the red-eyes and intense flash. It feels weird thinking that it's already 2013; it still looks like a foreign number to me but I'm sure I'll get used to it soon.
