2012 in a nutshell

2012, oh what a year! Like every year I’m sure you’ve experienced the ups and the downs that this year has thrown your way, but with the last day of the year amongst us already I’d like to reflect on the good times including new experiences, adventures and all the lovely people I have met!

So like last year’s post ‘2011 in a nutshell’ I thought I would carry on the tradition and name a few memorable events of 2012. I have compiled a facebook album of pictures from throughout the year of travelling, new experiences, people I have met through my blog and starting my jewellery line. So check it out HERE.

So long 2012, I bid you farewell. I hope the new year is good to us all!

Shopping Sunday: Jewel-toned

Jewel-toned hues have always been present in collections from season to season, but as we saw last season (and until now) cobalt blue still continues to be popular in many labels. This season I am thrilled that emerald green is coming with a strong force, as it is one of my absolute favourite colours. So treat yourself and dress like the precious gem that you are!

Shopping haul in Dubai

As I've mentioned previously, the best part about visiting Dubai every year (besides seeing family and friends) is shopping. Lots and lots of it.
This a video I put together of some of my favourite purchases I made in the first week of my trip. It's my very first video so I'd love to hear what you think of it! And please subscribe to my youtube channel, I'm putting together a very special video about my entire Dubai trip.

Blue hearts

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas eve and received/gave lots of amazing presents.

Even though I took these photos just before I came to Dubai, I just had to share them with you because I like the way they turned out. I was in St. Kilda beach with my dear friend Monica (who I shot as one of the 7AL blogger picks series in a previous post) and she was kind enough to take a few outfit shots. It wasn't the hottest of days but the clouds look really great in the photos so baring the cold and wind was worth it.

I know I haven't posted any Dubai related posts yet even though I've been here for over a week now, but I promise to post one on Thursday and it's going to be my very first video so stay tuned! Also, I post daily updates on instagram so make sure you follow me there to see what I'm up to (@7autumnleaves)
