Why I've been M.I.A lately

What's keeping me awake ^

The reason why you haven't heard much from me lately is because I've been the busiest I've even been in the last month. I'm constantly running around and pulling late nights with assignments and getting the absolute minimal sleep. But you have no idea how much I appreciate those who keep clicking on and checking my blog. I am currently going through my final week of my second last semester of masters so I will probably not post anything up until this week is done and dusted and I can officially have a break of two months. Good news is, I am travelling soon so expect to see lots of new travel content!

Trends: White and Strappy

Strappy sandals are one of my favourite trends this season. Combined with another big trend, the colour white, these babies are super affordable yet spot on with the trend and a definite staple in my (always expanding) shoe closet.

Google+ hangout

I’m really excited to share that I will be co-hosting a Google+ hangout with the NYC based blogger Diane of Snapshot Fashion.

I must admit, I have never been part of a Google+ hangout before but I’ve heard it’s a lot of fun, and it’s such a great way to interact!

We will be talking about fashion and style, and everything in between. We will also be answering any questions we receive prior to the hangout, through comments on this blog post, Instagram, Facebook, twitter, even e-mail.

Ask away!

It could be fashion related, whether you want advice on something, or want a second opinion, or even if you would like to know more about us!

Since Google+ only allows a hangout with up to 10 people, spaces are limited to be part of the hangout so comment below with your e-mail if you want to be a part of it and you’d need to have a Google+ account.

However, we will be recording the session so you can watch the answers to your questions and see what we talked about!

Since there is a 14 hour difference between us, this hangout session will be happening at 10am Saturday, May 11th Melbourne time and 8pm Friday, May 10th eastern time for those of you in New york. If you live anywhere else in the World try to figure out what time that would be for you!

So prepare your coffee Saturday morning and join us!

Seven Autumn Leaves turns 2

This month marks the two-year anniversary of Seven Autumn Leaves blog. I started this blog as a creative outlet and to have a platform that enables me to talk about fashion-related topics. In the past two years, I have had many great opportunities, met some amazing people but most of all I learned a lot about things that are beyond just ‘fashion’. I’ve learned a lot about the industry in general and also learned a lot about myself, and my personal style through experimentation. By taking some time off lately to focus on finishing off my masters, I have had the time to focus and reflect on what my blog is really about. I want it to be somewhere I share my personal style (fashion faux-pas and all) but I also want to take it to a new level this year and try to occasionally write about topics that I find interesting and want to share with my readers, still fashion related ofcourse. I don’t want it to just be about my outfits and events or travel, although these will still be an integral part of the blog.

I want to thank you all for being supportive by visiting my page, leaving sweet comments, liking photos on my fb page or Instagram, and just plain being awesome. I can’t wait to see where the next year takes us!
