Insta-lately

Here is a little insta-diary of what I've been up to lately. For more day-to-day photos you can follow me on instagram (@sevanm) or keep up with some of them via twitter and facebook.

Around Melbourne: As you may know by now I have a love affair with architecture, both new and old.
1. Fountain infront of Royal Exhibition Building, 2. Royal Exhibition Building, 3. St Patrick's Cathedral.

Pretty bites: I have been eating a lot of macarons and other tasty delights. Should start cutting back now that the stress of uni is finally over.
1. Breakfast cappucino and crepes at Morris Jones, 2. La belle Miette box of six, 3. macarons and coffee at San Churro.

Winter can be stylish: I've been obsessed with buying new nailpolish everytime I see some on sale. Also, even though it's been raining quite a bit lately I've only worn my Jefferey Campbell gum boots once!
1. Rimmel pastel tones, 2. JC gum boots and my favourite Mango umbrella, 3. Latest Revlon nailpolish purchases.

Blogger-lovin: Always love meeting up with my lovely blogger friends at events.

DIY feather skirt

For the trapped in a zoo event last week, I decided to integrate the theme in one of the existing clothes in my closet instead of buying something new. I ordered a DIY feather wrap from e-bay, hand stitched it to an old skirt that I hadn't been wearing for months and voila!

By adding the feather to the bottom, it became longer and more comfortable to wear. This is how I styled the feather skirt on the event.

Trapped in a zoo

Last Friday after I handed in my last submission, I went home and put on my DIY feather skirt and ventured on to The Atlantis at Crown where Seven Women's "Trapped in a zoo" party was held. I briefly wrote about this organization in a past post where I got to meet the founder of Seven Women Stephanie Woollard, who looked gorgeous in her red gown.

It was a great night with a beautiful venue, stylish attire, and lovely people. It's always fun to catch up with my favourite fashion bloggers and meet some new people as well.

In the last few months I've gotten to know Diya quite well and she worked so hard to put this event together. So thank you Diya and Stephanie for yet another great event, I look forward to the next one!

RMK me baby

So winter just arrived and I'm not happy about not traveling this winter like I always do. But if it's going to be this sunny and beautiful like it's been the past few days I can handle the chilly weather. (I know that's impossible with unpredictable Melbourne weather, but a girl can dream)

In other news, I am officially an interior designer now! so if anyone has an freelance interior design job for me, I'm your gal.

I had my last submission yesterday and then had the pleasure of attending 'trapped in a zoo' event with a few of my favourite blogger friends. But more about that in the next post; can't wait to share the DIY feather skirt I wore to the event.

Now onto the outfit post, I bought these RMK babies last week (those of you who follow me on instagram and fb already saw them)
I've had my eye on them for a while and when I saw it was on sale online I had to jump to the occasion before my size got sold out.
