How to wear black on black

There's a reason black is so popular when it comes to clothing. You really can't go wrong with black whether it's pairing black with another colour or wearing black on its own. I often do that, where instead of a little black dress I create my own all-black outfit. In this case it's with a black skirt and one of my favourite black tops right now. Also 99% of the time I wear it with red lipstick to give it a bit of a classic touch.

There are a few ways you can wear an all-black outfit without looking like you're off to a funeral. you can choose to pair different textures or materials together. Or you could add a pop of colour through your shoes and/or bag or jewellery.

What's your take on black on black?

Travel diary: Armenia winter 2014 part 2

I thought I would share a few more photos from my trip to Armenia now that I'm back in Melbourne. Many people's knowledge of the country that I'm from consists of two words - Kim Kardashian. So here's a chance for you to see what the country, more specifically the capital Yerevan, looks like.

As many of you know my name is Sevan and I always get questioned what it means. Well first off it isn't pronounced sevEn but it's sevAn and it's the name of the biggest lake in Armenia, which you can see in the second photo.

Travel diary: Armenia winter 2014 part 1

Well I'm back from my week long trip in Armenia where I got to see the motherland in winter, which I had never experienced before. Another first was seeing snow in general; I got to really experience it and enjoy it the whole week especially on the day we went to a place called Tsakhkatzor just outside the capital of Yerevan. Riding on the cableway we got to see the most spectacular view of the nearby snowy mountains and people skiing or snowboarding. In the next post I'll show you a few of the other highlights from the trip but hope you like these shots from Tsakhkatzor!

While I'm sharing a piece of Armenia with you, here's a link to an armenian pop song that my cousin kept playing while we were there. It aggravated me since he used to constantly play it on repeat but now it just reminds me our trip so hope you enjoy it!
