Denim dress

Denim’s back baby! To be frank I was never a big fan of denim, but maybe because I associated it way too much with the 90s denim style when my style consisted of pretty much what my mother would dress me up with. But recently I’ve been intrigued by the modern take on it and this trend has made a comeback in a big way. It started off with the chambray blouses last year and now the more denim you wear, the better. There are so many ways to incorporate denim in your outfits. You can even go all out and match denim with denim; you just have to know how to put them together based on shapes and shades. Gone are the days where denim on denim was considered a big faux-pax or as far as a fashion crime.

PS. I’m in London right now so follow up on all the action live from my Instagram account (@7autumnleaves) and posts to come soon!

Ray Bans street style

It is no secret that I am utterly obsessed with sunglasses, especially black ones that I can match with almost all of my outfits. Looking at streetstyle photos and a few of my favourite blogs, I came across some great ways of styling Ray Ban's Aviators and Wayfarers. I also found a Ray Bans sale of up to 50% on Vision Direct which is truly tempting! You're welcome.

Flowers of Hope Lookbook

In the previous post I unveiled the latest collection added to the Seven Autumn Leaves jewellery line. The collection is called Flowers of Hope and it is a much smaller collection that has a single design but multiple colour choices. The intention of these necklaces are to raise awareness and money towards the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Victoria. Having this message in mind, I wanted to approach it in a fun and light-hearted manner which is why I thought of something as organic and colourful as a flower. It also has a personal meaning behind the design and the choice of foundation which you can read on the Seven Autumn Leaves website

Here's a few more photos to showcase how easily they can be styled (and stacked!)

7AL jewellery new releases: Florals of hope for 65 roses

I'm really excited to introduce to you the new collection that I've been working on lately. This is a small collection that focuses on one design but a bigger concept. Please read on to find out the inspiration for this collection and share it with your friends and loved ones to help us raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.

Flowers of hope is a special collection that represents the hope that resonates from a situation that is less than ideal. It is meant to encourage you to appreciate all that is good around you.

Flowers of hope for 65 roses:

20% of the profits from this line are donated to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation in Victoria to aid research and support families living with CF.
‘65 Roses’ has been linked to Cystic Fibrosis since the 1950's when a little boy misheard his mother, Mary Weiss, talking about Cystic Fibrosis.
“I often say that only a child could turn something as horrible as Cystic Fibrosis into something as beautiful as Sixty-Five Roses.” – Mary Weiss

I chose this particular foundation because of our recent loss of one of my best friend’s beloved little sister, Rehana, who battled CF. She was the sweetest 15 year old I knew and always seemed to have a positive outlook despite her disease.

This perspex collection represents the positivity that exuded from Rehana and the floral shapes represent the hope and the association with ’65 roses’, or Cystic Fibrosis.

Ruby Red

I've never owned a red gown before, so upon putting this on I immediately felt like I was off to an event. Dressestylist.com customised the dress to my measurements which was great to have that option since long dresses almost never look good on me. I even got to pick the colour which was a great bonus!

Domain flowers bridal photoshoot part 2

As mentioned in part 1 of this post, Kyra from Pybus PR contacted me to be part of a photoshoot along with the talented John DeerCecylia Kee and Andrea Micich. The wonderful space of 1000 £ Bend was decorated with gorgeous flowers and beautiful props thanks to the talented ladies at Domain flowers and the set designers who helped creating those magical mini sets. It was a really fun experience and the photos turned out great and have been featured in a number of bridal websites and blogs. In the previous post I shared the gorgeous Pamela Usanto dress and the more modern take on bridal wear. This second instalment includes more traditional, but still stunning two dresses, by Karen Willis Holmes and the gorgeous Domain Flowers.
