Velvet shine

Part of experimenting with fashion is mixing different styles together to see what you come up with. I decided to mix up my blue and shiny grey velvet blazer, that I bought from Warehouse in Singapore, with a Moroccan inspired necklace with matching blue tones. I am also loving my new shiny Tony Bianco shoes which match my blazer perfectly! It's definitely the shiniest heels I own next to my gold Brian Atwood pumps.

Sex and the city exhibition curated by Patricia Field

It was merely a coincidence that I had been re-watching the series the past few weeks when I found out there was going to be an exhibition called NY style; showcasing sex and the city fashion at Chadstone, the fashion capital.

And imagine my excitement when I found out that Patricia Field herself was going to be curating the exhibition and attending the opening! It was an absolute pleasure meeting one of my idols, the woman who pretty much made sex and the city the show it was with her fearless fashion choices. Not to mention all the other projects she was the costume designer for; including the Devil wears Prada, Ugly Betty, Hope and Faith and much more.

The exhibition features some of the most iconic outfits that the four fabulous ladies wore in the series and movies. And ofcourse, among them were the blue Manolo Blahniks, and the gorgeous Versace gown Carrie wore in Paris in the series finale.

The exhibition is up until the end of this month, so make sure you get the chance to re-visit the great sex and the city iconic fashion moments.
