Outfit Post: green for spring
We finally had our first hot day on Monday! ...which was soon taken from us the next day when it rained in the morning.
Mother nature in Australia likes to tease us a lot.
BUT I was very appreciative of that one day and hopefully the hot days are just along the corner.
Pants: ZARA; Shirt: A small boutique at my local mall; Shoes: NOVO ; Bracelet: Witchery; Sunglasses: Prada; Nailpolish: Rimmel (black cherries)

Venice Film Festival 2011
The 68th Venice Film Festival took place between Aug 31st and September 10th. The stars attending the Awards on Sept 10th looked amazing in their gowns; from Prada to Gucci to Elie Saab and many more...

looking back: Lanvin Fall 2011 ad
I just came across this ad for Lanvin's Fall 2012 collection and just loved how fun and quirky it was!
NWFW S/S 2012
I watched a lot of the shows from NYFW this past week via youtube’s live streaming; I hope they do that every year, it’s a great idea.
The one thing I noticed that most shows had in common was colour, be it vibrant or pastels. Colourful and feminine patterns are still evident in this season with the likes of Luca Luca, Nicole Miller, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Tadashi Shoji, Vivienne Tam and even Vera Wang and Diane Von Furstenberg having so many colourful pieces.
Jill Stuart’s and J. Mendel’s collections also exhibited a lot of colour blocking that we saw last season in a lot of collections
My favourites collections from this season have got to be:
Street Style Icon: Olsen twins
But now that they've stopped making movies and well...my taste in movies has changed, I love keeping up with what they're wearing at events or on the streets, as well as their clothing line 'Elizabeth and James' and 'The Row'
These are some of my favourite Mary-Kate and Ashley street style looks:

30for30 challenge
I was browsing through one of my favourite blogs ‘KendiEveryday’ and found the 30 for 30 remix she had created and thought it was an excellent idea to save money as well as find new and different ways to recycle clothing items from your closet
Here’s what the 30 for 30 challenge is:
Take 30 items from your closet and make 30 stylish outfits with them
If you’d like to join me here’s the link to her post about the 30 for 30 remix
I’ll make sure to share 30for30 outfit posts soon as well as NYFW highlights and my favourite items from my favourite collections

SABA fashion show at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week
Spring is finally here in the land down under! you could've fooled me though, the last few days have been colder than the last few weeks in winter but I'll just endure this cold until summer is actually here... cannot wait!
With the arrival of spring, Melbourne celebrates it's annual Melbourne Spring Fashion Festival to showcase upcoming collections and designers' works.
I attended SABA's fashion show at city square on Thursday, which highlighted their spring/summer collection
I loved the colourful pants in the collection, it's one of my favourite summer trends this year. I bought a dark green pair from ZARA when I was in Toronto end of july and I absolutely love it! so I'll definitely buy new ones once they hit the stores and the weather becomes a tiny bit warmer
Colourful monochrome dresses is another trend that I'm a fan of this season
I especially like the second pink dress and the next maxi blue dress
This is my favourite colour and I think that's a cute dress that can be worn out on a sunny day or out at night with a nice belt and some jewelry.
I also like that blouse, I think you can also dress that one up as well depending on what you wear it with. It would also look really nice with a black blazer.
Prints Prints Prints. Nothing says spring/summer like playful and fun mixture of colours, patterns and prints
But ofcourse there's always room for the classics: Black and White
I had a great time at the show and wish I had time to attend more shows at MSFW but unfortunately uni prevents me from a lot of fun things!
